Uber Boat, a new service that will allow you to rent boats in Portugal, Spain, Italy, France and Croatia
Uber announced last week a set of new features that will be available in Portugal from June onwards — and even book hotels in the United States, all within the same app.
The Uber Boat announcement was made at the event Go-Get 2026in New York. After trips by car, bicycles and scooters, the tool will facilitate movement between destinations surrounded by the sea, from the Balearic Islands to the French Riviera and the Amalfi Coast.
According to , Uber users will be able to rent boats in several European countries, such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, France and Croatia. Access is through a partnership with Click&Boat, which has a fleet of around 50 thousand vesselswith members of the Uber One program receiving 10% of the value of the trip in credits.
In addition, the company also revealed a partnership with Expedia Group that will allow you to book more than 700 thousand accommodations directly in the application (for now, only in the United States). The integration of Vrbo vacation homes is expected later this year, and expansion into other markets, such as Europe, is expected to happen later.
Another new feature is the “Travel Mode“, an experience that helps tourists throughout their travels, from guidance in busy airports to recommendations for local restaurants, tourist attractions and online reservations, through a partnership with OpenTable.
The platform also announced a new partnership with the hotel group Accoran initiative that will allow members to accumulate ALL Accor points on trips and Uber Eats orders, with additional benefits for Uber One members.
These strategies arise because Uber wants to stop being just a mobility application and start focusing on “multiple stages of the journey on a single platform”, bringing together transport, accommodation and experiences.
