Iran accused the United States on Thursday of violating the ceasefire between the two countries after attacks on an Iranian oil tanker that Tehran claims belonged to the American armed forces. According to Iranian media Al-Hadaththe Iranian Army reacted by launching missiles towards American ships after the action.
A high-ranking military source in the Iranian Army told the Tehran Times that, after attacks against the Persian regime attributed by it to the USA, American vessels in the Strait of Hormuz had suffered damage and had to withdraw from the maritime route.
The chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, criticized the American attacks and said that repeating the mistake that has been made before “will not bring a different response.”

The military incident was recorded after explosions were also heard in the commercial area of Bahman Pier, on the Iranian island of Qeshm. Authorities in Tehran accused the United Arab Emirates of bombing the port region. The episode occurs despite the ceasefire in force in the region.
