In the early evening, Jan Bednarek arrived home to find the worst-case scenario. Housing disturbed and robbers still inside the property who were surprised by the family’s arrival.
According to what SIC found, the FC Porto player was preparing for a possible physical confrontation when one of the robbers threatened him with a sharp weapon. The three robbers ended up escaping through the back.
The alert was given around 9pm this Friday, examinations were carried out and video surveillance images were collected.
Jan Bednarek lives in one of the most luxurious areas of the city of Porto, in Foz, where robberies have already occurred in similar circumstances. The Porto Judicial Police is investigating the case.
Bednarek’s family – wife and daughter – are receiving psychological support provided by FC Porto. This Saturday, the player left home at 8am to train at Olival.
Despite the scare, Bednarek is available to go to the game this Sunday with Aves SAD.
