CNI evaluates Lula’s meeting with Trump as ‘important and timely’

The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) considered the meeting on Thursday, 8th, between the presidents of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and the presidents of the United States, Donald Trump, to be “important and timely”. “It is important that any disagreements or political differences are left aside and that strategic issues are dealt with in a technical manner”, commented the president of the CNI, Ricardo Alban, adding that dialogue between heads of state is essential for the advancement of the bilateral relationship.

The entity emphasizes that it has worked to facilitate dialogue between countries since the beginning of American tariffs. Next week, the CNI will bring together businesspeople from both countries in New York.

On Monday, the 11th, Brazil-US Industry Day, a CNI event, should bring together more than 500 business leaders, investors and authorities, with more than 30% of the audience being Americans. The objective is to discuss a common strategic agenda to boost industrial competitiveness, focusing on investments, innovation, productive financing and integration of value chains.
