Timna Brauer: “If the Palestinians laid down their arms, there would be peace”

40 years ago, Timna Brauer competed for Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen without even applying. Since then, she has worked as a jazz and world music singer and is active in numerous projects at the interface of music and peace work, including with Palestinian and Persian artists. Today she also runs the Arik Brauer Villa in Vienna and is working on an album called Yodel studies and is following the ESC 2026 in Vienna with mixed feelings. As a Jew who served voluntarily in the Israeli army for two years, she has clear words about the current situation.
