Geneva/Khartoum – UN Human Rights Commissioner Volker Türk has expressed concern about the high number of deadly drone attacks in Sudan. Between January and April alone, at least 880 civilians were killed in such attacks in the country, Türk’s office said on Monday. This threatens a “new, even deadlier phase” in the armed conflict between the government army and the paramilitary RSF that has been going on for more than three years.
