Kyiv became the target of a massive drone attack after the end of the ceasefire. According to Zelensky, Russia attacked with more than 200 machines

Shortly after the end of the three-day ceasefire, Russia attacked Kiev and eastern Ukraine with more than 200 drones. They report dead, injured and hits on civilian targets.

On Tuesday night, shortly after the end of the three-day ceasefire, the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv became the target of an attack by Russian drones. The first air raid alert was sounded in the city on Friday, and one victim is reported from the Dnepropetrovsk region in eastern Ukraine. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia attacked with more than 200 drones. TASR writes about it with reference to the AFP agency.

  • Russian drones attacked Kiev shortly after the end of the three-day ceasefire.
  • One person was killed and four were injured in the attacks in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
  • Russia launched more than two hundred drones and aerial bombs on Ukraine.
  • Energy equipment, residential buildings, a kindergarten and a civilian locomotive were affected.
  • The three-day truce was brokered by Donald Trump, and both sides violated it several times.

“There are currently enemy drones over Kyiv. Please stay safe until the alarm is lifted,” Tymur Tkachenko, head of the capital’s military administration, wrote on Telegram.

Attacks on Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk

In addition to Kiev, Russia also attacked in the Dnepropetrovsk region, where, according to local officials, one person was killed and at least four others were injured.

Zelenskyy said on the X Network that Russia launched more than 200 drones into Ukraine on Tuesday night. “Air bombs were again used on the front – more than 80 pieces and more than 30 air attacks were recorded,” he wrote.

Civilian targets at risk

According to the president, energy equipment, residential buildings and a kindergarten were damaged. There was also an attack on a civilian locomotive on the railway.

“We said that we will respond to all of Russia’s actions in the same way. Russia must end this war, and it is Russia that must take a step toward a real, permanent ceasefire,” Zelenskyy said.

Russian side about downed drones

The Russian military says it shot down 27 Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod, Voronezh and Rostov regions after the ceasefire ended.

The three-day ceasefire, in effect since May 9, ended on Monday before midnight local time. A temporary ceasefire was brokered last week by US President Donald Trump on the occasion of Victory Day celebrations in Moscow. Although Russia refrained from massive drone and missile attacks during it, both sides reported numerous instances of ceasefire violations.
