Romeu Zema releases sixth episode of ‘The Untouchables’

The pre-candidate for the Presidency and former governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), launched this Monday (11) another episode of “Os Intocáveis”, a series that satirizes the powerful in Brazil. In the newest video, he features Senator Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI), target of search by the Federal Police (PF) in a new phase of Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates an alleged scheme of corruption, money laundering, criminal organization and crimes against the National Financial System linked to Banco Master.

In the satire, he shows a conversation between Ciro Nogueira and the former president of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro. “You want me to give up my story and the only thing I have? All this in the name of what?”, asks Ciro. In response, Vorcaro replies: “Six million in your account now.” “I’m in,” Ciro replies.

Another character that appears is the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, who “pressures” Vorcaro to identify the criminal in a plea bargain. Minister Dias Toffoli is also mentioned. He appears being attacked by balls, to simulate that he was defeated by the Master case itself.

Toffoli was the case’s rapporteur. On February 12, he had left the report on the case after the Federal Police (PF) sent the President of the Court, Edson Fachin, a report on the investigation carried out on the cell phone of the owner of the financial institution, Daniel Vorcaro. On March 11th, . “In accordance with the provisions of article 145, § 1, of the Code of Civil Procedure, I declare my suspicion for intimate reasons”, said the minister. “I order the Judiciary Secretariat to forward the case to the Presidency of this Supreme Court for the adoption of the measures it deems pertinent”, he added.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), who appears opening the video and watching television after a call with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, is also not left out and, in a game of “pass or cheat”, receives a pie in the face from Zema after the former governor of Minas Gerais gets the question about the biggest cases of corruption in Brazil right.

Zema had not published a video since March 25th, when he had made a publication showing a criminal report against minister Gilmar Mendes. The video series has been published since February 23rd.
