The Rolling Stones have released the full tracklist for their new album titled “Foreign Tongues”. The big surprise is that the songs were named in 13 languages, including Portuguese, with the track “Intervenção Divina”.
In addition to English and Portuguese, the other languages present on the tracklist are French, Japanese, Dutch, Spanish, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Italian, Norwegian, Indonesian and Filipino.
The tracks “Rough And Twisted” and “In The Stars” have already been released by the band and the new album also features a reinterpretation of the hit “You Know I’m No Good”, by Amy Winehouse, as well as a tribute to the star of , who died in 2025.
In an interview with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, guitarist Ronnie Wood revealed that he recorded a guitar solo as a tribute to Brian: “I was so emotional that day, sad and disappointed. I was so sorry because. I’ll never forget it. That same week, Sly Stone also died.”
“I thought: ‘This is so sad’. That feeling came out of my guitar, you know? In just a single take… It wasn’t me who did it, the guitar played itself”, he added.
Stars Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood are accompanied on the album by Darryl Jones (bass), Steve Jordan (drums) and Matt Clifford (keyboards), and the work also features important guests, such as Steve Winwood, The Cure singer Robert Smith and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
The legendary Stones drummer, Charlie Watts, is also present in the work. Before his death in August 2021 at age 80, he worked on new tracks with the band.
“Foreign Tongues” hits platforms on July 10th and promises to capture the band’s unmistakable sound while exploring new sonic and lyrical territories.
