This Friday (14), the president (PT) mocked the senator (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, when participating in an event in , and in this year’s elections.
The statements were made at the Hospital de Amor de Barretos (423 km from São Paulo), where he was there to announce the construction of a research center and measures to encourage the performance of robotic surgeries by the SUS (Unified Health System).
Accompanied by the vice-president, (PSB), and ministers Alexandre Padilha (Health) and Frederico de Siqueira Filho (Communications), Lula referred to the case involving Flávio and the former banker, from Banco Master, while commenting on resources released to the hospital, a reference in oncology treatment in the country.
“Here in this hospital, there is no money from Vorcaro,” said the PT member, who was applauded by those present.
Flávio asked Vorcaro for money to finance the film “Dark Horse”, about the former president (PL), who is in prison, and the former banker paid R$61 million for the production, an amount that exceeds the amount, such as “I’m Still Here”.
The information, revealed by The Intercept Brasil and confirmed by Sheetshow the senator referring to Vorcaro as “brother”. Flávio says that what happened was a son seeking private sponsorship for a film about his father’s story.
Also in his speech lasting around 20 minutes, the president again stated that there should be no artificial intelligence in elections and asked voters, when receiving supposed news on their cell phones, to research the source of it. He also stated that Brazil needs to become human again and that it is necessary to “eradicate hate”.

At the event, the construction of a new clinical research and robotic surgery center at Hospital de Amor and Ircad (Minimally Invasive Surgery Training Institute) was announced.
Lula and Padilha also announced measures from the Agora Tem Especialistas program, the implementation of a specific table for financing robotic surgeries in the public network and the delivery of vehicles to transport patients to treatment sites.
For the Barretos hospital, the ministry will transfer R$129 million and formalize an execution agreement with the Ministry of Communications to create the Rede Saúde Brasil de Cybersecurity.
Some of those present shouted “Lula, Lula” while the agreements were signed, and one of those present shouted “no amnesty”, which was greeted by some of those present.
In his speech, the president of Hospital de Amor, Henrique Prata, thanked the president for the resources released this Friday and in his previous terms. Also participating in the event were the mayor of Barretos, Odair Silva (Republicans), and the vice-mayor, Mussa Calil Neto (MDB).
The trip also marks Lula’s return to the hospital, where he was 13 years ago for the inauguration of a hospital.
The space has 4,511 square meters, two operating rooms, ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and hospitalization beds. The wing, at the time, received an investment of R$30 million (R$62.34 million, updated by the IPCA), coming from donations from individuals and legal entities.
The trip to Barretos is the only public event on the president’s agenda this Friday. He is scheduled to take off for Brasília at 2:40 pm, from Chafei Amsei airport, in Barretos.
