After the president (PT) put an end to the “blouse tax”, Augusto Coutinho (-PE) wants to speed up the processing of a project that provides for a “cashback on blouses” as a form of compensation for the national industry.
The measure would be and provides for the refund of part of the taxes paid: 50% of the CBS (Contribution on Goods and Services) and 20% of the IBS (Tax on Goods and Services).
The parliamentarian says that the alternative is a way to also make national products cheaper after the government eliminates federal taxes.

Coutinho wants to take advantage of the discussion to boost the cashback project. The proposal would only benefit low-income families registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) and for national purchases of clothing, bed, table and bath.
With the measure, the deputy says he intends to make the national product cheaper and encourage Brazilian industry by providing fairer competition conditions.
“In addition to the customer paying less, the measure will stimulate formal commerce and the creation of jobs, because it will be necessary to request an invoice to access the benefit”, said the parliamentarian, who is president of the Parliamentary Front for the Textile and Clothing Industry.
