Internacional defeats Vasco in Beira-Rio with the brilliance of Carbonero and Bernabei

Internacional ran over Vasco in Beira-Rio, this Saturday (16), and won the victory in the first half.

After having a goal disallowed for offside by Gabriel Mercado, Colorado opened the scoring in the 21st minute with Johan Carbonero, who received a ball from Alexandro Bernabéi, shot behind the defense and hit Léo Jardim. Shortly after, at 25, the team from Rio Grande do Sul expanded after an error in the ball being thrown by the Vasco goalkeeper: Carbonero stole the ball and served Alerrandro, who finished first to make it 2-0.

In the final stage, Vasco tried to come back more aggressive and even got scared in the first minute, when Andrés Gómez forced Anthoni to make a good save. Despite the initial pressure from Rio, Inter were surgical in their counterattacks. At 17 minutes, Carbonero made a quick transition and crossed the ball to score the third. Ten minutes later, inside the area; the attacker spun and rolled for Carbonero to finish strong and turn the victory into a rout: 4-0.

Even though they dominated on the scoreboard, Vasco maintained more possession of the ball for much of the game, but found it difficult to transform the volume into clear chances. The best opportunity came 25 minutes into the second half, with a header from Cauan Barros that went close to the post. Inter remained dangerous and almost expanded further with shots from Vitinho, Bernabéi and Rafael Borré, all of them.

In the final minutes, Andrés Gómez reduced it for Vasco in a beautiful individual play. The striker cleared Bruno Henrique at the edge of the area and hit it in the corner to score a great goal and make the score 4-1.
