On May 17, 2026, the Bulgarian singer Dara, real name Darina Nikolaeva Jotova, and her husband Erwin Ivanov will celebrate their first wedding anniversary. However, the pharmacologist, whose dissertation focused on the active ingredients of cannabis, has to share the day with another celebration: the day before, Dara won the 70th Eurovision Song Contest – and gave Bulgaria, which only recently returned after a long break, the first ESC victory in its history.
