Earthquake in China leaves two dead and causes 13 buildings to collapse

More than 7,000 people had to leave the affected region, while rescue teams work in the affected areas

More than 7 thousand people were forced to leave the area affected by the earthquake.

One 5.2 magnitude earthquake this Monday (18) shook the region of Guangxi, in southern China, caused two deaths and the collapse of 13 buildingsreported the state press.

The tremor occurred in the city of Liuzhou, in Guangxi, at 0:21 am on Monday (1:21 pm Brasília, on Sunday), reported the official Xinhua news agency. One person is considered missing.

State broadcaster CCTV identified the fatal victims as a couple, a 63-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, and reported that search work continues to try to find the missing person.

More than 7,000 people were forced to leave the area affected by the earthquake.
