The PP candidate in Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno, has shown a day after the elections in Andalusia his confidence in governing alone because the result “is overwhelming” for this, although he has confirmed that he has not yet spoken to Vox. On the other hand, Vox’s number one for Seville and personal friend of Santiago Abascal, Javier Cortés, has stated that his party will not ask to enter the Government of the Junta, but rather that “the national priority is a reality.” The far-right party obtained 15 seats, and has in its hand the key for the PP to form a Government after Moreno was left, with 53 seats, two away from achieving an absolute majority. The PSOE candidate, María Jesús Montero, has recognized that a mobilization of the progressive electorate has not been achieved, after the socialists obtained the worst result in their history in the region (with 28 deputies), and has cited communication errors as the causes: “I think that from Adelante Andalucía we have to learn that they are much more effective in political communication.” The head of the Por Andalucía list, Antonio Maíllo, has “flatly” denied that his party abstains to prevent the PP from negotiating a government with Vox. The coalition remains with 5 seats and Adelante Andalucía is the party that has grown the most by obtaining 8 seats, six more than in the previous elections.
