Real Madrid is 1st from abroad among the teams that loaned the most players to the Brazilian team in World Cups

The 26-player squad revealed by the Brazilian national team coach, Carlo Ancelotti, this Monday (May 18, 2026), consolidated the club as the club that donated the most athletes to the Brazilian team in the history of the Brazilian national team. Even though there are no players in this squad, São Paulo appears 2nd in the ranking. Flamengo, with 4 on the 2026 list, is in 3rd place. He already held the position before this call.

The 26 names will already be available to Carlo Ancelotti for the friendlies against Panama, on Sunday (31 May), and against Egypt, on June 6, 5 days before the start of the match, in Mexico City.

The call-up defines the group that will begin the search for the sixth championship, on June 13, against Morocco. The other clashes in the group stage are against Haiti, on the 19th, in Philadelphia, and Scotland, on the 24th, in Miami.

  • Rodrygo (striker): the Real Madrid player suffered a torn knee ligament in March 2026. He has already undergone surgery, but will not have time to return;
  • Estêvão (midfielder/striker): the Chelsea youngster suffered a grade 4 muscle injury to his right thigh, with an almost complete rupture of the muscle. He may undergo surgery and should only return to play in the 2nd semester.

ANCELOTTI

Carlo Ancelotti has led the Brazilian team since May 2025. In 1 year of work, the Italian coach led the team in 10 games, recording 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats. The team scored 18 goals and conceded 8 under his management. The coach’s contract with the CBF was recently concluded and now runs until the 2030 World Cup.
