The pre-campaign called for the suspension of the publication, which shows a six-point drop in the presidential candidate’s voting intentions, in the scenario of a second round against President Lula (PT).
The pre-campaign states that the research questionnaire “would have been structured in such a way as to seriously induce a negative perception about Flávio Bolsonaro”. The Volsonarista also maintains that the arrangement of the questions and themes, with “the use of associations between the pre-candidate, Daniel Vorcaro and Banco Master, contaminate and induce the answers of the interviewees”.
The questioning comes after the release of an audio recording of the senator asking the then banker Daniel Vorcaro for money.
The survey interviewed 5032 voters from the 13th, when the dialogues between Flávio and Vorcaro were revealed, to the 18th. The survey asked voters whether they were aware of the content, and 95.6% responded positively.
According to the questionnaire made available by Atlas at the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), the audio content was indeed shown to interviewees, but only as the last item of the survey. Voters who collaborated in the survey were asked 48 questions.
In the last one, the interviewees analyzed a video with the audio and could drag to the right when they were “evaluating it more positively” and to the left when they were “evaluating the content more negatively”. The play had images of Flávio and Vorcaro, to illustrate the dialogue.
“The research reveals a serious manipulative precedent and failed to observe the neutrality expected in electoral surveys intended for public dissemination,” stated Flávio’s campaign. The group argues that the survey not only measured voters’ opinion, but presented “stimuli capable of influencing the respondent’s perception before questions about image, rejection and electoral viability.”
The representation also requests the investigation of possible electoral crimes.
The research is registered under number BR-06939/2026 and has a confidence level of 95%. The margin of error is plus or minus 1 percentage point.
