Just under an hour after the time at which a meeting between the senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) and the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaroon December 11, 2024, in Brasília, the federal deputy Mario Frias (PL-SP) sent an audio to the banker thanking him for his support for the film “Dark Horse”. The information comes from a report by The Intercept Brazilpublished this Tuesday (19).
In the recording, obtained exclusively by the website, Frias states that the film about former president Jair Bolsonaro “it will touch a lot of people’s hearts”, will be “very important for our country” and requests authorization to inform Vorcaro about the progress of production.
The record reinforces the perception of closeness between Mario Frias and banker Daniel Vorcaro, a relationship that the deputy had been trying to minimize publicly.
Last week, following revelations that to finance the film “Dark Horse”Frias stated that the banker had not given “a single cent” to the production.
According to a report, senator Flávio Bolsonaro participated that day in a meeting of the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJ) in the Senate and left around 5:30 pm, the time at which a meeting was scheduled.
He returned around 6pm, which suggests that any participation could have taken place outside the session or remotely. However, The Intercept was unable to confirm whether the meeting between him and banker Daniel Vorcaro took place.
Exchange of messages with director Cyrus Nowrasteh
On December 15, 2024, Mario Frias sent Vorcaro a screenshot of conversations between him and director Cyrus Nowrasteh, which dealt with initial negotiations for a project about “an ordinary man who became president by a miracle”.
In the exchange of messages, the director states that he intends to speak with actor Jim Caviezel about the project, but warns that the actor would ask two questions: if he could read the script and if he would be paid well. Frias responded by saying that the actor “will be immortalized by this role”.
In the message sent to Vorcaro along with the print, Frias wrote: “Miracles are only possible when there is faith”, “This is one of those miracles” and “It will be the biggest overproduction in Brazilian history”.
New conversation and closeness between Frias and Vorcaro
On December 22, 2024, federal deputy Mario Frias and banker Daniel Vorcaro spoke again. At 10:19 am, Vorcaro reported that he was at the church and said he would get back in touch after leaving.
About an hour later, before another response from the banker, Frias sent messages stating that the film would be “the great miracle”with the potential to reach “millions of people around the world” and would have “an essential historical role for future generations”. He also described the project as a “a question of divine justice”.
At 11:40 a.m., Vorcaro responded, “I’m sure of it.” Then, Frias reinforced: “JB needs to have his true story revealed”, he wrote “2026 is from Brazil” and ended with: “God bless you my Brother”.
