Los Angeles – Two devastating fires are raging in the south of the US west coast state of California: Northwest of Los Angeles, a forest fire in the area surrounding the city of Simi Valley has spread to an area of around 5.5 square kilometers, as the fire department announced on Tuesday evening (local time). A fire on Santa Rosa Island, off the coast of California, now affects around 59 square kilometers, according to the fire protection agency Cal Fire.
