The minister of the (Federal Supreme Court) authorized this Tuesday (19) a police operation to investigate leaks of information about the case to the press. The measure removed a federal expert from the team of investigators who had allegedly leaked information from Viviane Barci de Moraes to the bank.
The court released a note this Tuesday morning (19) informing that the decision authorized two search and seizure warrants, in addition to precautionary measures, including the suspension of the federal police officer allegedly involved in the commission of the crime. The statement does not mention Viviane or the contract with Master, but the Sheet found that the purpose of the operation is to disclose the document’s data.
The text also states that the measures do not affect journalists or the press, more broadly, but rather that they intend to preserve the investigation.
According to people familiar with the case, the PF was investigating the origin of several leaks that occurred since the beginning of Operation Compliance Zero.
