The president (PT) stated this Thursday (21) that his government never went after the “Daniel Vorcaro law” to finance artists, in criticism of the Presidency () that came to light last week.
The PT member defended the Rouanet Law, a frequent target of attacks by Bolsonarists. “Now it turns out that, as the truth never fails, we never went after the ‘Daniel Vocaro law’ to finance any Brazilian artist”, said the president, at a cultural sector event in Aracruz (ES).
The PT member also said, in reference to last week’s episode, that Flávio seemed to be “the holiest person” in the Bolsonaro family.
“Whoever imagined that that boy who seemed to be the most holy person in the Bolsonaro family”, he stated, had taken US$ 159 million to make a film about his father, no one imagined, and that’s just what we know”, said Lula. The PT member also declared that “a lot will still emerge” about the case.
Vorcaro even paid R$61 million for the production of (which means “underdog”), which deals with the former president’s life, and an audio from September 2025 shows the PL senator demanding more resources from the former banker.
The website The Intercept Brasil, which revealed the conversations between the senator and Vorcaro, states that the total amount negotiated between the banker and the Bolsonaro family was R$134 million, but there is no evidence that all the money was transferred.
