Zurich – Austria’s national ice hockey team missed an early entry into the World Cup quarter-finals. The ÖEHV team had to bow to their pursuers Germany 2:6 (0:0,1:2,1:4) in Zurich on Saturday. With a win after regular time, team boss Roger Bader’s team would have booked the quarter-finals. Instead, after missing a surprise before the final two preliminary round games against Finland on Sunday and the USA on Tuesday, Red-White-Red feels the breath of the competition.
