The Netflix original series “Mermaids” show that won over the public by reaching 69 million views in 2025. With just 5 episodes, the miniseries features an engaging plot that ranked 1st among the most watched productions on the platform for two weeks.
Released in May 2025, the miniseries tells the story of Devon (Meghann Fahy), who decides to get in touch with her sister Simone (Milly Alcock) so that they can both help care for their father with dementia. However, Devon observes his sister’s strange behavior towards new boss Michela (Julianne Moore).
The plot takes place over a single weekend, develops intensely and is ideal for , as the episodes total less than 5 hours.
The production is an adaptation of the play, by Molly Smith Metzler, which she herself was responsible for adapting.
