The Federal Police recovered, this Monday (25), a archaeological piece belonging to pre-Columbian culturesduring an operation in Rio de Janeiro, last Friday night (22).
The Pre-Columbian Operation sought to recover the piece em 2020em virtual auction promoted by a specialized company based in Rio.
The police officers who acted in the action carried out one in an apartment in Rio, where the widow of a deceased diplomat who allegedly purchased the piece at auction resides.
According to the PF, the investigation began with a presented by Iphan (Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage).
The institute had reported the identification of archaeological pieces belonging to pre-Columbian cultures of the Hispanic America in the catalog of a virtual auction.
