Nvidia plans to invest $150 billion annually in Taiwan

The chip company Nvidia has announced annual investments of around $150 billion in Taiwan. “Four or five years ago, Nvidia was spending about $10 to $15 billion a year in Taiwan. Now we’re spending $100, soon to be $150 billion a year in Taiwan,” said the head of the $5 trillion chip company, Jensen Huang, on Wednesday. He did not give a time frame over how many years the company plans to invest the amount. Huang made the remarks at a ceremony in Taipei to mark the launch of the company’s planned Taiwan headquarters, which is expected to be operational by 2030.
