Tension in front of the cameras! Ondrík revealed a heated moment: The animosity between me and Janko…

The movie Bojovník will come to cinemas in August 2026. The film, which entices viewers to enter the world of MMA, one of the most prominent phenomena of today, will lure Slovaks with an extraordinary cast. The main character is played by Milan Ondrík, he will be joined in other roles by Eliška Balzerová, Hana Vagnerová, Ján Jackuliak, Marián Mitaš, Martin Finger, Adam Vacula, Pavel Rímský and others.

The main character is Pavel “Hoff” Hoffmeister played by Milan Ondrík, he is a former European champion and Olympic medalist in boxing, who after years decides to return to wrestling. This time, he is not waiting for a familiar ring, but an MMA cage, new rules, a feared opponent and, above all, a past that can no longer be run away from.

In such intense film scenes, trust between the actors is important. What was the atmosphere like on the set between Milan Ondrík and Ján Jackuliak? Jackuliak also took a broken arm from the filming, and both sides took it sportily and with humor. “I’m good friends with Janko, but I have to say that there was tension even at those staredownssince we filmed the staredown in Eden in front of a really huge backdrop, thousands of people who shouted the names of our characters,” the actor explained.

“And I had a lot to do to maintain the character of Hofmeister and not fly like Milan Ondrík, because that energy pulled you to the extreme. But the spark was there, actually the animosity between me and Janko, even during that match. Even though we told ourselves to take care of ourselves, we didn’t get away completely unscathed. And that happens, it’s a contact sport. And the spark was there. The spark was there and so was the respect. I think that also Janko towards me and, of course, also from me towards Janko,” Ondrík revealed to Koktejl.sk.
