Airports
The Prime Minister once again admitted suspend, at least in “critical hours”, the new border control system at airports to ensure that the Portuguese economy “is not penalized”.
“We do not want to get to the point of suspending procedures, but if we have to do so, especially at critical times, under the rules that our European commitments also allow, we will do so while this entire mechanism does not operate absolutely normally”, stated Luís Montenegro.
SIRESP
Montenegro also referred to the controversy with the choice of the head of SIRESP, which led to the dismissal of the deputy secretary general of Internal Administration António Pombeiro, but placed responsibility for the malfunctioning of emergency communications in the past.

Several interventions criticized the Government’s proposed labor law.

Luís Montenegro reacted: Livre complains about inequalities, but does not appear to be “available to change” anything in the labor law.
Hugo Soares, parliamentary leader of the PSD, attacked the opposition, on several fronts and with various pretexts.
The deputy was full of “astonishment” upon hearing an “extreme left party” (Livre) say that the PSD “doesn’t listen to the pope, but they do”.
“It’s truly extraordinary. It’s the world in reverse“, he said, in one of his interventions.

André Ventura also leafed through comic books: “I hadn’t seen this before: caricaturing opposition leaders – although there is only one opposition leader.
