“D-Day”: We have to accept that we are not alone, says Spielberg

The trailer for “D-Day”, the new film by filmmaker Steven Spielberg, 79, shows the devastating consequences of a worldwide conspiracy to hide the existence of extraterrestrial life.

The final trailer was released and it shows Emily Blunt as a weather presenter starting to make strange sounds live. From there, the science fiction story unfolds, with panic, fear and aliens.

In publicity, the director stated that he believes more now than when he made “” (1977).

“When the day of revelation actually happens, we will have to accept that we were never alone“, he said. “I said to myself, ‘Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all this were true?’. Now, I think: ‘Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people knew this was all true?’.”

has an extensive list of films about extraterrestrial beings, such as “” (1982)” and “War of the Worlds” (2005). In the video, he added that he believes even more that humans “are not the only intelligent civilization in the universe”.

In addition to Blunt, the film stars Josh O’Connor as a hacker who leaks secret information, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Wyatt Russell.
