The release of the audio in which senator Flávio Bolsonaro asks banker Daniel Vorcaro for R$134 million generated distrust among businesspeople and damaged the relationship between the presidential candidate with the productive sector. The assessment, according to sources heard by the Young Panis that the episode could undermine the senator’s presidential campaign.

Businesspeople point out that Flávio had denied any relationship with Vorcarobut retreated and admitted to having asked the owner of Banco Master for money after the recording was released. For a businessman in the sugar-energy sector, the senator “will have to go against the tide to regain the trust of the business community”.

As shown by Young Panthe crisis had already led Flávio’s allies to classify as a “disaster” the speech by PL president, Valdemar Costa Neto, who contradicted the senator’s version of the meeting with the banker. The PT also began to explore the erosion, asking the Federal Police to investigate Flávio and Eduardo Bolsonaro’s relationship with the owner of Banco Master.

To try to reduce the damage to the pre-campaign, Flávio met with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Tuesday afternoon. However, businesspeople believe that the meeting should have no effect or impact this year’s electoral dispute.

“It doesn’t mean that this meeting will bear fruit. On the contrary, Lula’s was more important. We need to see the next chapters”, said a source, with reservations.
