Michal Straka alias Ego is one of the most famous musicians on our scene. Originally trained as a lawyer, he dominated the scene in the 90s with the group Kontrafakt together with Patrik Vrbovský known as Rytmus and Ondrej Beňaček, whom everyone knows under the nickname Anys. Some may perceive the world of show business differently. They imagine that celebrities have by their side every beautiful or handsome man they can even look at. But the truth is that even famous people want to have an ordinary life and grow old with one person.
The singer Ego found happiness with the likeable Petra. They met when they were still children. “We moved from Svidník to the west, I was a fifth grader in elementary school. He went to the next class. We were classmates in high school. We started to “date” each other in the ribbon dance. It was 2001,Petra described a story that perhaps everyone longs for. The couple have two daughters together.
Most people considered their relationship exemplary. However, the truth is different. In the Ego podcast a few years ago, he openly admitted that they broke up several times during their relationship, but all the time he was very fond of her and even jealous. Their marriage again goes through a difficult test and for he said that divorce is already on the table.
“We are going through a more difficult period, which I think is typical for our age. I don’t want to break up,” stated the well-known Slovak openly. The person said that although the couple currently do not live in the same household and are separated, it is not a final separation.
Ego has repeatedly emphasized that their two daughters are the most important to him and they should act accordingly. According to the source, the artist can see them at any time. “The most important thing is for the children to be calm, but I also care about our relationship, because I still love Petka,” he added. According to his own words, he is doing everything to continue their relationship. According to him, the couple did not hesitate to seek professional help. “We are waiting for a session with a psychologist and I will do everything to save our family,” concluded Ego, seeing this as an opportunity, not a loss.
Petra also spoke on the social network for the first time shortly after celebrating her 42nd birthday. “I am a person who likes his birthday very much. This year is different for the first time due to circumstances and life events. I wasn’t looking forward to it, I was even worried about him, how I would cope. Thank you Ninka & Sofka, parents, sister, family and my friends, for always being there for me and thanks to you I can continue to function… Happy birthday to me,” she admitted openly.
