“It is impossible to say how long the closure will last,” a German airport source tells AFP
Flights were suspended this Saturday at Munich airport, after two pilots reported the observation of a supposed drone shortly after 9am local time (8am in Lisbon).
Speaking to the French news agency AFP, an airport source said that, “in coordination with German air control, the authorities responsible for security then decided to close the runways”.
“It is impossible to say how long the closure will last,” he added.
Several airports in Eastern European countries have been disrupted due to drone sightings, but so far there is no further information about this specific incident.
