According to the Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CBMERJ), teams from the Queimados barracks were called to respond to the incident at Rua Irmãos Moreira, nº 112, in Vila Bandeirantes, region close to the Nova Iguaçu airfield. The corporation reported that the call was registered at 9:45 am and that the victim was found dead when agents arrived at the scene.

Although the aircraft crashed in a residential area, firefighters reported that the plane did not hit any residence. The fall happened at the bottom of the house, and also there is no record of other fatal victims. The pilot’s body was removed and sent to the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) of Nova Iguaçu at 1:15 pm.

Until the publication of this report, there was no official information about injured people. When contacted by the report, the Rio de Janeiro Military Police, through the 52nd Police District, did not respond to contact attempts.

Images released by firefighters show the wreckage of the aircraft scattered on land among properties in the region. Until the publication of this report, there was still no confirmation on the exact location of the aircraft’s origin or its destination.
