Playing at home; Canada announces World Cup squad list

Hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Canada released the squad list.

One of World Cup hosts FIFA 2026, Canada released on Friday night (29) the list of the 26 players who will wear the Canadian shirt in the championship. Under the command of the American Jesse Marchthe team enters the field with the Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Daviesas its main member.

Canada is part of group B, alongside Bosnia, Qatar and Switzerland, in the first phase of the competition, and will play the first three matches within their territorythe first in the city of Toronto, and the next two in Vancouver.

This is the Canada’s third participation in the FIFA World Cup, the second in a row. The Canadian team competed in the tournament in 1986 and 2022, but ended eliminated in the group stage on both occasions. The North Americans debut on the day June 12thagainst Bosnia, playing in Toronto.
