The Left uses the Judiciary as an extension of its project, says Marinho

General coordinator of Flávio’s pre-campaign criticizes deputies who called the PGR due to a senator’s visit to Trump

The coordination of the pre-campaign of the senator and PL pre-candidate for the Presidency, released a note this Saturday (May 30, 2026) in response to one sent by congressmen to the PGR (Attorney General’s Office). The note, signed by the senator (PL-RN), says that the Brazilian left “tries to use the Judiciary as an extension of its political project”.

Deputies from Psol and Rede sent a request to the PGR, also this Saturday (May 30), requesting that the pre-candidate’s conduct during his trip to the United States be investigated to determine whether he committed a crime against national sovereignty.

Marino said to be “unacceptable that, while Brazil suffers under the rule of criminal factions, parliamentarians mobilize to criminalize the effort to seek international cooperation against terrorism”.

Flávio met with North American authorities, including the President of the United States, (Republican), and requested that the country’s government classify the PCC and Comando Vermelho factions as terrorist organizations.

On Thursday (May 28), 2 days after the senator’s meeting with Trump, the US government classified the factions as “foreign terrorist organizations“.

PCC and CV were included on two lists by the US government: Specially Designated Global Terrorists and Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

The Brazilian federal government criticized the US classification of the factions as terrorists. According to the government, the measure represents “setback in the fight against crime, a risk to people’s lives and economic losses to the country“The federal administration stated that the North American decision could affect Brazil’s sovereignty.

“The representation of PSOL and the Network against Senator Flávio Bolsonaro is yet another demonstration that the Brazilian left is trying to use the Judiciary as an extension of its political project. It is unacceptable that, while Brazil suffers under the rule of criminal factions, parliamentarians mobilize to criminalize the effort to seek international cooperation against terrorism. The same political field that today calls for ‘sovereignty’ was the one that, for years, traveled the world denouncing its own country and seeking foreign interference for reasons ideological.

Senator Rogério Marinho, General Coordinator of the Pre-Campaign”.
