Neymar has his name sung by the fans before Brazil x Panama

Even outside the Brazilian team’s friendly with Panama this Sunday, Neymar, who was present with the delegation at Maracanã, in Rio. The star appeared on the stadium’s lawn during the players’ warm-up and gained support from the fans moments before the game in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

At the edge of the field, Neymar spoke with Rodrigo Lasmar, the team’s doctor, and Samir Xaud, president of the CBF. The fans shouted the player’s name, who waved in thanks. Soon after, he still made some movements with the ball, but didn’t warm up.

During Ivete Sangalo’s show, before the players warmed up, Neymar also had his name sung in the stands. The friendly marks the Brazilian fans’ farewell to the team, before the trip to the United States. It is worth mentioning that on the 6th, Brazil will play another friendly match, this time against Egypt, at 7pm (Brasília time), at Huntington Bank Field, in Cleveland.

The Brazilian team is in Group C of the World Cup, which also includes Morocco, Haiti and Scotland, and will play all of its first phase matches in the United States. The expectation is that Neymar will be at Brazil’s debut on June 13th, at 7pm (Brasília time), against the Moroccan team, at the MetLife Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
