Anyone who has been in the right US city in the past few weeks may have already seen it: the new generation of robotaxis from Waymo. It’s called “Ojaj” (pronounced “oh hi”) and immediately stands out thanks to its light blue color. But more importantly: The new vehicle is not only developed from the ground up for robotaxi use, it is also an important step towards profitability for Waymo. It should be better but also cheaper at the same time, as the company assures.
