Former deputy quoted in X a speech by the former minister about classifying criminal factions as terrorists during an event
The former deputy (PL-SP) published on Monday (June 1, 2026) on X a criticism of Ricardo Lewandowski’s retired minister and called him a “current Minister of Justice” of the president (PT). Lewandowski was Minister of Justice and Public Security, but on January 8, 2026.
In , Eduardo reacted to one at the 14th Lisbon Forum, in Portugal, about the United States government’s decision to classify the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital) and the CV (Comando Vermelho) as terrorist organizations.
“Former Supreme Court judge and current Lula Justice Minister, Ricardo Lewandowski, says the US designation of CV and PCC as narco-terrorist organizations threatens Brazilian sovereignty and could harm business leaders”wrote Eduardo.
Lewandowski declared on Monday (June 1, 2026), during the panel “Federative pact: democratic governance and fiscal sustainability”which the measure of the United States government “it could represent an attack on democracy and hinder foreign investment” not Brazil.
The former minister also said that public security requires “centralized coordination”. According to him, organized crime goes beyond state and national borders.
“We hand over all responsibility for public security to the States […] Today there is organized crime that goes beyond state and national borders. […] We need to have centralized coordination. Therefore, I proposed the PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution) for Public Security so that there is coordination between the security forces”said Lewandowski.

Eduardo classified the position as a defense of “narcoterrorist”. “I would expect nothing less from politicians who enter areas controlled by these terrorists without any resistance, openly and on friendly terms.”wrote the former deputy.
Lewandowski resigned from the Ministry of Justice on January 8. At the time, he stated that he was leaving his position “for personal and family reasons”. Lula the lawyer to head the department on January 13th.
