Brazilian Dante, after retiring as a Nice player at the age of 42, will take charge of Bayern Munich’s reserve team, returning to the club eleven years later, the Bavarian giant announced this Tuesday (2).
The Brazilian played his last game on Friday (29), in the second leg of the relegation playoffs, a 4-1 victory against Saint-Étienne that allowed Nice to narrowly avoid relegation from the French Championship.
For his first steps as a coach, Dante chose Bayern, the club where he played for three seasons before leaving in 2015. He will succeed Holger Seitz.
“I am extremely excited about this role at my former club, Bayern, and I want to thank the board for their trust. I look forward to working with all the players, the coaching staff and management,” said the former Brazilian national team player.
