Boeing 787 plane crash in Germany leaves several injured

Several employees were injured after the front landing gear of a Boeing 787 gave way unexpectedly at a boarding gate at Frankfurt airport, Germany, this Thursday (4), said Lufthansa, the aircraft’s operator.

“The passengers had not yet boarded,” a company spokesperson said in a statement, adding that members of the crew and ground staff were on board the aircraft.

“Several employees were injured and are receiving medical attention,” the company added. The news was first reported by Bloomberg News.

A Reuters photographer saw several emergency vehicles parked around the aircraft, which was partially on its side.

The incident occurred at 12:45 pm local time and the jet was destined for Los Angeles as flight LH450, reported .

“We are investigating the exact circumstances with the competent authorities,” the company added.
