First Lieutenant Ronickson Pimentel dos Santos was shot this Saturday morning, 27th, in São Caetano do Sul (SP). According to the Estadãothe lieutenant is the brother of Eloá Pimentel, murdered in the earliest kidnapping in the history of São Paulo.
According to the Military Police, Pimentel was shot several times on Avenida Goiás during an attempted murder.
He was rescued by rescue teams and then by the Águia helicopter. The PM reported that they still have to locate the perpetrators of the crime.
The Eloá case was the longest private prison episode in the State of São Paulo, followed in real time throughout the country. On October 13, 2008, production assistant Lindemberg Alves invaded an apartment in Santo André, where four teenagers were studying, and took hostage his ex-girlfriend Eloá, aged 15, her friend Nayara Rodrigues da Silva and two boys, unhappy with the end of their relationship.
The two boys were released on the same day, but the young women remained at gunpoint until the Special Tactical Actions Group (Gate) raided on October 17. During the action, shots hit Eloá and Nayara; Lindemberg was detained without injury, but Eloá died the following day.
