The EU and the Western Balkans discuss security and billions in aid in Tivat


Tivat – Montenegro will host a summit of the European Union and the Western Balkans for the first time on Friday, June 5th. At the meeting in the coastal town of Tivat, the EU heads of state and government want to reaffirm their “unreserved and clear commitment” to the prospect of EU accession, the European Council said in advance. The topic will also be greater cooperation in the defense sector. Austria is represented by Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP).
