Pristina – Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s ruling party Vetevendosje is set to win in the parliamentary elections in Kosovo. After the polls closed on Sunday evening, the party received 42.3 percent of the vote, according to a post-election survey conducted by the Pipos Institute for the Klan Kosova broadcaster. However, it remained unclear whether this would be enough to end the ongoing political crisis in the Balkan country. Vetevendosje would continue to rely on coalition partners to form a new government. In addition, a compromise with the opposition is necessary to secure the two-thirds majority required to elect a new president.
