The publisher Panini launched this Thursday (11) the update kit for the World Cup album. The package is on pre-sale on the manufacturer’s official website for R$ 119.90, with delivery estimated for the second half of July.
The kit includes 120 new stickers, 118 of which are from selected players who were not present in the original album. Among the highlights are Neymar, from the Brazilian team, Neuer, from Germany, and Cubarsí, from Spain.
From Brazil, goalkeeper Weverton, full-back Alex Sandro and striker Igor Thiago also appear in the publisher’s promotional image.
From the selection made by Panini herself before the official call-up, five players ended up outside the final list.
Éder Militão and Rodrygo, from Real Madrid, and Estêvão, from Chelsea, were already certain absences due to injuries suffered, with no time to recover before the tournament. Goalkeeper Bento, from Al Nassr, and striker João Pedro, from Chelsea, were even considered to join the group, but were left out of the squad.
Each page of the album has space for 20 stickers. Two positions are reserved for the official photo of the team and the team badge, leaving 18 spaces for the players.
The 13 called up by Carlo Ancelotti who already had stickers in the album are goalkeeper Alisson; defenders Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, Danilo and Wesley, injured in the last friendly before the World Cup; midfielders Casemiro, Lucas Paquetá and Bruno Guimarães; and attackers Luiz Henrique, Vinicius Júnior, Matheus Cunha, Gabriel Martinelli and Raphinha.
Goalkeepers Ederson and Weverton were left out of the album; defenders Alex Sandro, Léo Pereira, Bremer, Douglas Santos and Ibañez; midfielders Danilo, Fabinho and Éderson, called up after Wesley’s injury; and strikers Endrick, Igor Thiago, Rayan and Neymar.
The company had already talked about the possibility of launching new stickers. Through his press office, at the time, he stated that, “as in other World Cups, it is possible that we will have the pack [pacote] update”.
