World Cup: Who is the Brazilian team’s top scorer – 06/12/2026 – Sports

Brazil has already scored 237 goals in World Cups with 86 different players (only one own goal). Of these, seven are still active, but only four were remembered by coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Ronaldo is the country’s scoring leader in World Cups, with 15. And his record is unlikely to be beaten. The player closest to the former national team striker in the 94, 98, 2002 and 2006 World Cups is striker Neymar, with 8.

The current Santos athlete, however, will already be left out of the Brazilian team’s debut on Saturday, at 7pm. He is still recovering from an injury and is trying to be available to play in the group stage.

After Neymar, the one who appears as the top scorer with the national shirt in World Cups is Richarlison. The Tottenham striker, however, was not called up.

With two goals appear two defenders who were also not called up by Ancelotti: David Luiz, who plays in Cypriot football, and Thiago Silva, who after not having his contract renewed with Porto, from Portugal, has not yet announced a new club.

In the team called up by Ancelotti there are three players who scored one goal each in World Cups: Casemiro, Lucas Paquetá and Vinicius Jr.

Midfielder Fernandinho, with a goal, completes the list of athletes still active who have already scored in World Cups wearing the Brazilian shirt.
