Brazilians fill Times Square on the eve of the team’s debut

Brazilian fans gathered in Times Square, in New York, on Friday (June 12, 2026), the eve of the country’s national team’s debut in the . The concentration was organized by the Yellow Green Movement. The group wore Brazil shirts and sang songs in support of the team led by coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The Brazilian team this Saturday (June 13), at 7 pm (Brasília time). In group C, the team still faces the teams from Haiti and Scotland in the group stage.

WORLD CUP

The World Cup is a private, profit-making sporting event. It is carried out every 4 years by . Teams qualify through knockouts. The technical committee and squad of each team competing in the competition are chosen by private entities.
