Sad news hit the Slovak music scene on Thursday, June 4. At the age of only 30, the musician Jozef Kuky, who was known from the band Kuky Band, died unexpectedly. The unforgettable musician has entered the memories of most Slovaks thanks to the cover version of the song Zatancuj si so mnou by Adam Ďuric. Today, this mix of songs has more than 5.4 million views.
Terne Band Zvolen announced the sad news on the social network. “My little one, rest in peace. My friend, you were one of the few who knew how to guide and advise me. I really appreciated that about you. Your human approach and words. You were truly a special person with a big heart. We will miss you very much,” one of the members of the Terne Band said to the sky.
The last farewell to the famous musician took place on Tuesday, June 9 at the cemetery in Dvorníke. Hundreds of people attended the funeral. Among them is businessman and musician René Strausz, husband of Zuzka Plačková. He published a VIDEO of the funeral of a well-known musician on a social network. “Kuky, rest in peace. Honor to his memory,” he wrote to the images that you can find above the article.
Shortly after Kuky’s sudden death, he spoke out for and revealed what their relationship was like. “The news about Kuky’s passing hit me hard. We got to know each other from various music events where we met over the years. He always seemed like a person who liked music and spread good cheer. It is sad when a person leaves who still had something to say and pass on,” he admitted.
Strausz addressed Kuky’s sincere words to those closest to him. “I express my sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, friends and band members. And I would like to tell everyone to cherish the time spent with their loved ones because we never know what tomorrow will bring. Kuk, rest in peace. Honor to your memory,” added the well-known influencer.
