Salzburg’s new SPÖ leader wants to lead the party back into state government


St. Johann im Pongau – One and a half years after the resignation of David Egger-Kranzinger, the Salzburg SPÖ will have an elected party leader again on Saturday. At the 44th state party conference, which began at 10 a.m. in St. Johann im Pongau, Chamber of Labor President Peter Eder is standing for election. Since the end of 2024, he has led the party on an interim basis together with two women. Eder made it clear today that he would like to lead the party back into state government.
