Eduardo Bolsonaro suggests total rupture between PL and Novo – 06/14/2026 – Politics

The impeached federal deputy () suggested this Saturday (13) that his party break all alliances they have with the , after new criticism made by the pre-candidate for the Presidency (Novo) about the relationship between (PL) and , caught up in the .

PL and Novo are allies in states such as Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Goiás.

“What a slutty stance, criticizing Flávio Bolsonaro just because he wanted to be in Flávio’s place. For me, he would break with the Novo party”, wrote Eduardo on X (formerly Twitter), in response to a video with Zema’s speech.

In an interview with the website Brasil Paralelo published on Friday (12), the former governor of Minas Gerais said that he does not regret the conversations at the time in which the PL pre-candidate was revealed to finance a film about his father Jair Bolsonaro.

“Would I be able to applaud someone who comes close to the biggest criminal banker in the history of Brazil? It’s difficult to applaud someone who was there, someone who lived with a person like him. (…) I was outraged, I expressed my indignation and I don’t change anything. For me, anyone who hangs out with criminals deserves to be seen with caution”, said Zema in the interview.

When asked about the Vorcaro family’s donation of R$1 million to Novo em Minas, Zema stated that the party never committed to any compensation.

“This donation took place in 2022, it went to the Novo party, at a time when there was no suspicion. As far as I know, he donated much higher amounts to other parties. Due to the Novo party being small, he only donated [R$] 1 million. I should have donated more, since it is the most serious party in Brazil”, he said.

According to data from Novo’s reporting to the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), the father of the owner of Banco Master, Henrique Moura Vorcaro, in the 2022 elections, when Zema was re-elected governor.

Before the leak of the audios in the case of the film “Dark Horse” in May, Zema sought Flávio Bolsonaro’s allies for a possible vice position in the campaign.

On June 2, the presidential candidates, Zema and () agreed on a right-wing partnership against President Lula’s (PT) re-election attempt.

The break with Zema’s party had already been suggested at the end of May by Senate pre-candidate Carlos Bolsonaro (PL), also the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro.

“I’m about to meet a guy shorter than that! We tried and at the first opportunity another stab comes! And don’t tell me that this is a one-off, because it isn’t. (…) Analyze and draw your own conclusions! Everything requires a lot of permission and palm bark! This guy is every day giving his party a chance to disintegrate in a brutal way”, wrote Carlos in X.
