Slovak football representative Stanislav Lobotka should continue in SSC Napoli even after the current contract expires in 2027. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the new coach Massimiliano Allegri convinced the 31-year-old midfielder to stay longer, who called him one of the team’s key figures.
Napoli has an option to extend the contract until 2028 and, according to Italian media, the club’s management has already informed the player of their intention to use it. The next step could be negotiations on even longer-term cooperation. Although Lobotka’s contract also contains an exit clause in the amount of 25 million euros for foreign clubs, which is only valid for the first two weeks of July, its activation also requires the consent of the football player himself.
Lobotka has reportedly considered his future after a difficult season under Antonio Conte, but Allegri plans to adapt the game concept even more to the strengths of the Slovak legionnaire. He has been working in Naples since January 2020 and won two Serie A titles with the club, the Italian Cup and the Super Cup.
In addition, he put on the captain’s armband several times in the past season. Lobotka in Naples is often visited by her friend – a sports presenter on Markíza, Simona Leskovská, for whom it is already a second home.
