On Wednesday (June 10, 2026), Russia recognized Brazil as free of foot-and-mouth disease without vaccination. The measure was formalized during the Ministry of Agriculture’s trip to the country. According to the government, the decision “represents yet another advance for the health and commercial agenda of Brazilian agribusiness”.
“The measure also opens up space for advances in new product categories and possible increases in trade flows”says the ministry.

Brazil exports products such as meat, coffee and peanuts. Russia now sends fertilizers, wheat and strategic inputs for agribusiness.
